About Cochrane Stock Farms

Our Mission
Our mission is to build a solid company while maintaining our family based values. When you are involved with Cochrane Stock Farms, whether being employed or doing business, you are a part of our family. Our other quest is to produce top quality Limousin seed stock, for both the commercial and purebred industry. We aim to breed functional and hardy cattle that can produce under the harshest climates. We also pride ourselves in our customer service in all of our ventures.

Company Profile
Cochrane Stock Farms was founded by Stan & Pat in the early 1970's. In conjunction with the Brandon Research Station, Stan, along with his father Sanford started using semen from Limousin bulls on their Black Angus cows. Impressed with the performance of these cross bred calves, Stan decided to start purchasing some registered females. While building the cow herd, Stan and Pat started purchasing land in the surrounding area. At the present time we are running 200 mother cows, while grain farming 2000 acres.
We are a member of the Canadian Limousin Association, Manitoba Limousin Association and the Keystone Agricultural Producers.
